First Time Faux                                                                                            Do you want your walls to be as beautiful as the homes you see in the magazines?This 4-hour course will get you started.  Students will learn quick and easy faux techniques that will lead to beautiful results.  Students will also learn tricks of the trade for difficult areas like ceiling lines and inside corners.  Students will use Adicolor™ Glacis, Wetedge Plus and Elegant Transformations glazing products to make multiple samples to take home with them.  Course fee includes a take-home manual.                                                                                                      Cost $99  (Instructed by Jean Held)

Intro to Texston Silkstone and New Italian Traditions Collection by D. Beninati                                                                                                       This 4-hour program will get you started with the proper surface preparation, tools, and application techniques of one of today’s most exciting luminescent wall coating Texston’s SilkStone.  Students will learn EZ application techniques using the “New Italian Traditions Collection available exclusively at Hirshfield’s.  These rich jewel and warm Tuscan tones will bring stunning shimmer effects to your walls.  A nice alternative to wallcoving for those special rooms in your home      Cost $119 (Instructed by Drew Beninati)

Patinas, Reactive Coatings, Crackles, Marbleizing and more…                 This two day program will introduce students to Modern Masters Reactive coatings, Rust, reactive baroque, copper and bronze finishes.  Adicolor Two Step China and Gel crackle mediums, Adicolor Sabbia Fina texture medium, and mica powders.  Students will learn how to do simple marbling techniques on rounded columns using Adicolor Glacis and Wet Edge products. Students will learn advanced crackle techniques on objects and presentation boards.                Cost $279 (Instructed by Jaxon Bonsack)

Intro to Trowel-On Coatings                                                                      This 2-day course will introduce students to a variety of increasingly popular trowel-on coatings and proper trowel techniques. Students will learn proper surface preparation, tools, product knowledge, and application technique.  Students will also be introduced to Aqua Finishing Solutions® products: AquaBond™, LusterStone™, TexSton™ SilkStone, Texston Iridescent coatings, along with Firenzecolor Dune and Africa, Texston Veneciano and Lucido ecofriendly Italian plaster, and Adicolor Oro Stone metallic plasters.  Students will complete eight samples.  This course includes a continental breakfast and lunch along with beverages and a take-home course manual.           Cost $349  (Instructed by Drew Beninati and Lori Finch)

American Clay Workshop – (Winner of NAHB Outstanding Green Product Award 2004)                                                                                                “The Original Earth Plaster” creates surfaces reminiscent of classic interiors throughout history.  Create an elegant smooth troweled surface or a more comfortable rustic feeling.  It is 100% natural, resists mold, non-fading, non-toxic, and has no VOCs.  The basic class will cover the common techniques for the application of Loma, Porcelina, and Marittimo products.  It will also include tinting, mixing, application, and sealing and how to overcome problematic wall surfaces.  Advanced class will expand on the first-day topics, demonstrate surface repair, artistic finishes, embedding other products (mica, straw, glass), and additional sealing/soap options.  Advanced students must first participate in the basic session.                                                                                              Cost $149 for 1-day basic (Instructed by Drew Beninati & Lori Finch)             Cost $249 for 2-day basic & advanced (Instructed by Drew Beninati & Lori Finch)
